Here, you can be part of a community that strives to make a difference in the world — sometimes by organizing large-scale events, sometimes by suggesting small, incremental changes, and sometimes by challenging you to think and act differently than you were thinking and acting just the day before.

People come to earthbongo to inspire others and to be inspired themselves, to join with likeminded individuals, to work together to make a difference, and best of all, to have fun doing it.

Projects come from you! There's no top-level group around here stocking the pool with projects. The truth is, it's up to you to make earthbongo a success.

Doing something in your life you wish more people did, too? No matter whether your volunteering an hour a week, saving water by placing a bucket in your sink and reusing the gray water, or finding more local sources for your family's meals — if you inspired a few others to join you, together you'd make an even bigger impact.

For a few months now, a bunch of us have been thinking every day about what kind of site we'd like to use ourselves. We were thinking about something social, but that was all about real results. Something fun to explore, something where people surprised and inspired you with the things they're doing in their lives to make the world better.

That's how we dreamed up earthbongo.
