Living in Chicago my whole life, I pretty much take for granted the availability of energy and food with little concern about the true costs. My partner and I live in Andersonville (Great neighborhood!) and together we are always looking for new ways to live green in a big city without relying on others programs. For example, the blue bin recycling program.

As an educator, (17 years kindergarten) I believe that the classroom can be one of the most effective places to create positive changes for the environment.
