Plant a tree at home in 2010
57-large

Clean air, carbon sequestering, stormwater abatement, wildlife habitat, temperature mitigation and beauty - trees provide so much!

Plus they can increase the resale value of your home.

Plant a tree and harvest the rewards (and maybe a few apples too.)

October 31, 2010   Darcy Apprentice says, I helped Ford with the 600 baby cedar trees in Frink Park so I hope that I can also be counted as planting a tree. Grow tall and strong little ones!
October 31, 2010   Heidi M.
Cool! There's a lot of beauty and clean air in 600 cedars. Thanks for helping! I'm looking forward to planting trees to celebrate the end of our beta test.

Since I put 600 trees in the ground I figured that might count for 1 tree for your project.

October 31, 2010   Heidi M.
Holy cow, that's a lot of trees! Because this is such an old project, I didn't have it set up to ask the number of trees planted. The next time I do a project like this I'll know better! Thanks for joining in!

October 29, 2010   Ford Apprentice says, We don't have much room in our yard for a tree but I helped put 600 baby trees last week in the ground at our local greenbelt just 60 feet away.

Happy to report that our lovely star magnolia is now planted in our backyard - looking forward to next spring's beautiful white blooms and to watching it grow over the years.

I love Friends of Trees!

Last Saturday, volunteers planted about 300 trees across the city. We were on a bike planting team and helped plant trees around our neighborhood, including 2 at our house. We met all kinds of great people and accomplished a lot of tree planting and community building before lunchtime!

September 16, 2010   Heidi M. Contributor Can't wait to see what...

Can't wait to see what our Seven Son Flower trees (Heptacodium miconioides) look like in a few months.

We helped to plant 9 trees, but only 2 at our house, so I'm only reporting 2 in our results.
