Install Compact Fluorescent Lights
(Goal Met!)
As old bulbs burn out in your home and office replace them with Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFLs).
Now available in a variety of shapes and sizes, CFLs use about 25% of the energy that an old style (incandescent) bulb uses. Over the life of one 23-watt CFL (100 watt equivalent) there is a savings of 770 kilowatt hours (kWh) – which equates to $58 in your pocket! Rebates are available from many utilities. PSE is offering rebates at CostCo on a variety of bulbs. The color of light and the ability to work with dimmers has improved dramatically with these lights over the last few years. These are NOT the flickering blue tubes of yesteryear!
