I'm wondering what people are doing to help with the oil spill down in the Gulf. Has anyone come across any projects we can do even from long-distance that help make things better, or has anyone donated to any organizations that are helping keep the wildlife healthy?

The oil's still coming up and will keep coming all summer it seems. Carol Browner, who is the top White House energy adviser, said, "This is probably the biggest environmental disaster we have ever faced in this country."

That and many other facts are in this Reuter's article:

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and so we're pretty far away from the disaster, but maybe there are things we can do even here to help. And maybe there are activities or things to know about here that help keep our own lakes, shores, and waterways healthy for wildlife.

Thanks.

I saw this in the Orcas newspaper and thought it was inspiring. I thought others might like to see this as well.
